Better Together is a Reading project unique to Beaumont Lodge Primary School which was started at the beginning of this academic year in September 2015.
The project runs for six weeks and during this time you will be able to meet weekly with our Reading Teaching Assistant Mrs Pam Bayliss. The meetings are arranged at a time that is convenient for you and are very informal. You will be able to talk about your child’s progress and the next steps needed to help your child become a better reader.
Better Together provides support and guidance for parents in how to help their child to read. The guidance given meets each child’s individual needs.
Better together so far has helped nine Families within year 1. These children have between them made an incredible 84 book levels progress! With on average each child moving up 10 book levels progress.
If you would like more information about the Better Together project please contact either your child’s class teacher or Mrs Bayliss.
Thank you to all of the parents and children that have helped make Better Together such a huge success this year. Each child taking part in Better Together has made fantastic progress in their reading and should feel very proud!
Wishing you all a lovely summer holiday, hopefully filled with sunshine!
See you in September,
